As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, routine patrols, and teamwork, while bringing integrity, reliability, and innovation to each shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, offering directions and assistance while helping to support orderly operations and a positive visitor experience.
• Communicate with mall management, store personnel, and/or emergency responders as needed regarding incidents, suspicious activity, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
