Job Description:

Maintains the interior, exterior, and general condition of Med Transport helicopters and airplanes, which are
utilized for missions both locally and globally. Exterior cleaning is critical for not only long-term aircraft
maintenance and viability, but also to ensure the quality image expected of a highly visible Intermountain
Health asset. Interior cleanliness is important on many fronts, including the assurance, through
sanitization, of patient, passenger, and crewmember health, long term care and protection of interior
surfaces

Essential Functions

• Self-manages and schedules machine polishing of brightwork, paint polishes, and sealants.
• Cleaning of passenger/crew cabins, lavatories, cockpits, and aircraft exteriors, ensuring aircraft are mission ready.
• Maintains tools and consumable inventory necessary to perform cleaning assignments.
• Stocks aircraft with general and passenger preferred stock, including, to a limited extent, medical equipment and supplies.
• Assists Maintenance leads and Managers with miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning hangar area, transporting parts and equipment to various base locations, assisting mechanics with aircraft maintenance tasks, etc.
• Assists in maintaining hangar facility as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic experience cleaning automobiles or other machinery

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in automotive or aviation detailing.

Physical Requirements

• Interact with others requiring the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
• Support the weight of aviation parts and equipment while transporting it. Push or pull portable equipment, including heavy items.
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer parts, tools, and equipment. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
• May be expected to stand or sit in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
• Ascend and descend stairs to and from and off and on aircraft.
• Raise or lower an object from one level to another.
• Operate aviation maintenance equipment, tools, computers, and devices requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read various monitors and documents.
• Transport oneself from place to place.
• Move around on hands and knees, including in small, confined spaces within aircraft. Lower body by bending at the hips and the knees or to place body weight on one or both knees.
