- Description
This position has knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC systems. This includes all parts of large boilers and chillers. Basic knowledge of steam heating systems and all related parts. Preventative maintenance on all equipment and a knowledge of building control systems and how to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
- Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Journeyman HVAC License OR equivalent years of experience.
- Knowledge of refrigeration, duct work, residential/commercial heating and cooling systems and ability to understand controls enough to diagnose and repair systems.
- Gas pipe sizing.
- RMGA Certified
- EPA Refrigeration Certification
- Problem solving skills, use of hand tools, reading wire diagrams and equipment manuals, understanding controls and basic computer use.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Be self-motivated, able to work in other maintenance areas, work safely and calmly and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and on call work required.
- Major Responsibilities/Duties
Diagnose and repair of residential and industrial HVAC equipment which includes VAV and hot water systems.
- Preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment which includes filter changes, coil washing, belts and greasing motors.
- Knowledge of building automation systems for diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge and experience installing and maintaining residential HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams to troubleshoot HVAC systems and understanding controls.
- Installation of new equipment and small projects.
- Refrigeration systems, chillers and VFD maintenance
- Requires on call work and other duties as assigned
